SARAH WALKER
PRINCIPAL
Sarah started dancing at Grayes School of Dance, Carshalton, Surrey and was taught by Cathy Stevens. At 16 she went to train at the prestigious Laine Theatre Arts in Epsom, Surrey, leaving at 19 with a Diploma in Musical Theatre and ISTD Teaching Qualifications in Ballet and Modern. She performed in many pantomimes, summer seasons and trade shows all over the country, along with teaching at various schools.
Her dream was always to perform in London's West End and after years of hard work, many knock backs and sheer determination her dream came true when she was offered a part in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang at the world famous London Palladium, performing with Michael Ball, Gary Wilmot, Jason Donavan and Christopher Biggins to name a few. After two and a half years there she went on to play Rumpleteaser in Cats on the UK and European tour. Finally, she was lucky enough to be awarded a part in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat alongside Lee Mead at the Adelphi Theatre on The Strand.
Whilst performing as a professional dancer Sarah taught many workshops at various schools, including Pineapple Dance Studios.
Sarah has now been teaching full time since 2008 and loves every moment of it. She aims to pass all her experiences on to all the children she teaches and to encourage every child in the same way.
